The Garmin GPSMAP 541s 5 inch Waterproof Marine GPS and chart plotter with sounder, is a smaller model that features a bright display screen that measures in at five inches, in addition to an improved high speed digital style that enables map planning and drawing. The straight forward interface is simple to use and navigate through and the satellite base map comes with preloaded maps of coastal regions, including Hawaii and Alaska. This model accepts blue chart vision cards, for additional functionality and high resolution satellite imagery and auto guidance.

Garmin GPSMAP 541s Fish Finder GPS Performance

This model’s highly sensitive GPS receiver allows for superior satellite tracking and a quicker acquisition. The GPS is able to receive graphical weather data through the optional GXM 51 satellite and the use of the SD card slot. Consumers found it effortless to add more maps, without having to connect to a sonar transducer.

The high powered dual frequency transducer will clearly illustrate depth contours, structures and fish targets, regardless of whether the angler is fishing in fresh or salt water.

Using the optional blue chart vision SD card will allow you to add a whole new dimension of top features to the mariner eye view and fish eye view, which provides the user with a three dimensional perspective of map info, each under and above the high resolution satellite images. The aerial photo images will assist the user when it comes to orienting to unfamiliar auto guidance searches, with the use of relevant charts. The consumer can create routes that are easy to follow and will be able to avoid buoys, structures and shallow water.

This model’s split zoom display will offer a more detailed look at bottom structure and fish targets, and the auto gain technology feature will help to enhance target visibility.

The Garmin 541s fish finder see-thru technology will provide views of strong and weak returns, simultaneously.  This fish finder utilizes a dual frequency transducer for maximum performance in saltwater. The water temp log will graphically record water temp data.
